Mediascop: “New minorities in Bucharest Municipality”, a project for a more tolerant European capital

The cultural diversity in the capital city of Romania is in a continuous change, more and more foreign citizens choosing Bucharest as their home. The project “New minorities in Bucharest Municipality” aims to give a voice and a chip to these people. Either they are coming from the European Union or third states, either they are part of isolated communities or they are independent, the members of the new minorities enrich the cultural landscape and contribute to the development of the metropolis.

TOTB: How much do we know the new minorities in Bucharest

The association Movement for European Action and Initiative (M.A.I.E) announces the launch of the project New minorities in Bucharest Municipality, which purpose is to support the intercultural dialogue between the Bucharest citizens and the groups of minorities appeared in Bucharest during the last two decades. The project is carried out during April 2015 – April 2016, in a partnership with the Telemark Research Institute in Norway.
